Travelling With The CPAP Device

The CPAP device is fully portable and automatically adjusts to suit the voltage of the country you are in (110- 240V). You will of course need the correct plug adaptor to suit the power outlet. The device should always be carried as hand luggage. A 12volt battery cable can also be supplied, allowing the device to be used in a caravan or truck, for example.

It is advisable to notify your airline in advance of travelling that you intend to carry your CPAP on board with hand luggage. Also, ask your prescribing consultant/clinic for a letter explaining that you have been prescribed the equipment and that it must be carried as hand luggage.

NB: Always empty all water from the humidifier before moving the CPAP device
